If you have signed up for 8Dweb hosting and you are using a domain name you have registered via Network Solutions you will need to make sure the Name Servers are correctly registered at Network Solutions.

This change can be performed directly by the domain owner via the Network Solutions website.

The steps you must follow are:

  1. Go to the Network Solutions site at http://www.netsol.com
  2. Click the "Manage Account" tab
  3. Enter the domain name that you wish to modify and then click "Go"
  4. Enter your Account Number/Login and Password, click "Login"
  5. Select the domain name that you want to change
  6. Click on "Manage this Domain"
  7. Select "Manage Name Servers" to change your DNS information
  8. Enter the 8Dweb LLC name servers:
  • 8Dweb Enhance CMSdefender Hosting & 8Dweb Enhance SentryServer VM:
    • dns100.8dcloud.com
    • dns200.8dcloud.com
    • dns300.8dcloud.com
  • 8Dweb SentryServer with Plesk Control Panel
    • dns100.cmsdefender.com
    • dns200.cmsdefender.com
    • dns300.cmsdefender.com
    • dns400.cmsdefender.com
Once you have inserted our name servers you're done. At this point it's just a matter of time until your domain begins to resolve to your 8Dweb Hosting account. On average it takes around 24 - 72 hours for name server changes to propagate and sometimes longer. During the initial period after a name server change it's not uncommon depending on their location and what ISP they are using for some visitors to successfully reach the new location while others may still find the domain to resolve to the old location (if any). This is due to the fact that the time it takes for news of the name server change to reach all of the DNS servers worldwide varies.
